Hanru Bai

I am an incoming PhD student at the Max Planck ETH Center for Learning Systems (CLS), where I am privileged to be co-advised by Dr. T. Konstantin Rusch (ELLIS Institute Tübingen and Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems) and Prof. Siddhartha Mishra (Department of Mathematics, ETH Zürich).

My long-term research vision is centered on modeling and interacting with the world through the lens of underlying physical engines. I believe that the evolution of this field relies heavily on the design of robust foundational mathematical architectures, using mathematics as the essential bridge for modeling complex systems. Currently, my research focuses on diffusion language models and scientific computing.

I am always open to discussing research or potential collaborations. If you are interested in my work or would like to connect, please feel free to reach out!
